I met Sarah thru Devon. As I was browsing Devon's amazing galleries I discover one modeling portrait session she did of her. I asked Devon if she thought Sarah would be interested in shooting and after the positive response I proceeded to ask her! Planning was a little hard due to work schedules but we finally made it work! We found 2 great spots in San Diego. I love San Diego!!! And San Diego must love me back since we couldn’t have ask for better weather! We started shooting with casual attire at a very nice architectural area then moved to the beach for a small bathing suit session. By the time we got to the beach and setup we roughly had like 30 minutes before sunset, which to me usually means an hour of shooting. The sunset was amazing with a gorgeous cloudy sky! The only thing I could have ask for was for the sun to set a bit slower... so we could have taken more beautiful images!!!!!

I met Amanda thru Devon. She had some modeling experience so I figured it would be a little bit easier to work with her. To my surprise she was also a very talented cheerleader as well! That added to the list of ideas for a possible shoot! We decided to shoot in Irvine since it was convenient for her. We started with a few cheerleading shots and move towards casual attires and finally a gorgeous blue dress! I usually shoot with one off camera flash but I did wanted to experiment with 2 off camera flashes this time. The results were amazing! Amanda and I both agree, our favorite picture of the shoot is the last one on this sequence. This lighting technique will definitely be part of my bag of tricks!!!

I met Devon at an Irvine Smugmug Mini Shootout meeting. She went to that meeting as a photographer and not a few minutes went by and she was already taking pictures of the models and giving them directions! Now what really impressed me was that a few minutes after she was asked to pose and she agreed! In my opinion she did as good if not better than some of the other models! So that's when I realized that Devon wasn’t just a very talented photographer but a great model as well. So after talking to her for a while we decided to schedule a shoot in Riverside! I recently got hired to cover a Dol (Doljanchi) event.  This is a Korean tradition.  It takes place when a baby reaches his/her first year of age.  I have had the privilege of been invited to 3 of these events.  My favorite part is when the baby has to pick one of several objects which will determine his career path in the future.  Each one of the objects has a particular meaning...  I am always rooting for the pencil!  My second favorite is the hanbok which is a very cute and colorful attire.

I have known Jimmy and Diana for several years now.  As a matter of fact Jimmy is my future brother in law (not to mention a great friend).  Needless to say that when they asked me if I would be interested in taking their Save the Date photos I jumped on the project!  The day was a bit to bright at the beginning but as the sun started to set we got really beautiful light.  We had a blast that day and the Brazilian food right after was the perfect way to end the day!
